Who we are: Wright TradeLink Limited ("TradeLink", "we") operates the TradeLink website and mobile app, a marketplace connecting customers with tradespeople in Ireland. We are the data controller for personal data processed through our services. Contact: admin@tradelink-app.com, +353 86 022 5099.
Data we collect:
Account data: name, email, phone number, address, profile photo
Tradesperson verification data: trade qualifications, certifications (e.g. RECI/Safe Electric, RGII), insurance details, business information
Job data: job descriptions, photos, quotes, messages between users
Payment data: processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full card details
Technical data: device information, app usage, IP address
Why we process it (legal bases):
To provide the service — creating accounts, matching jobs, enabling quotes and messaging (contract)
To verify tradespeople and maintain platform trust and safety (legitimate interest)
To process payments via Stripe (contract)
To send service updates and, with your consent, marketing communications (consent — opt out anytime)
To comply with legal obligations, including tax and fraud prevention (legal obligation)
Sharing: We share data with: tradespeople/customers as needed to complete jobs (e.g. name, job location, contact details after a quote is accepted); Stripe for payment processing; service providers such as hosting, SMS/authentication, and analytics providers, under data processing agreements; and authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers: Where data is transferred outside the EEA (e.g. to service providers), we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention: We keep account data while your account is active and for up to 6 years afterwards where required for legal, tax, or dispute purposes, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights (GDPR): You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email admin@tradelink-app.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Security: We use encryption in transit, access controls, and secure payment processing via Stripe.
Children: TradeLink is not intended for anyone under 18.
